How do I get started?
Okay, so you want to learn how to use CSS but don't know how
to get started. Here's what most people will suggest you to do: go to your local
bookstore and buy a book that teaches both CSS&HTML, download some freeware
off Download.com and get started.
If you are still reading this paragraph, that means that you chose not to do the
book method. Well I don't really know which is better, depends on how much you're
committed to these stuff, I guess.
Enough said.. if you actually went out to buy a book, I'm sorry I didn't tell you this
sooner.
1. Go to HTML Goodies and master HTML.
2. Create a website out of pure HTML.
3. Extract a CSS file from a nicely designed website and play around with it.
4. Go to one of the reference sites and understand which attribute does what.
5. Do a couple experimentations of your own.
6. Make a blog design from scratch. If you don't have a blog account, go
get one.
If you don't have web space, this is a good time to invest yourself for one. It's really
worth the price. Also, buy Macromedia Software. Sure, you can also use pirated versions
but you have ZERO WARRANTY. You'll want one. So go get the real one.
