| Dear List, I've been impressed by the dizzying array of postings vis a vis networks and collaboration but I've also been struck by the singularly abstract nature of many of these postings. I wonder if some of the list members who have actually organized collaborations, even those involving face-to-face contact, might provide some concrete descriptions of how these collaborations were staged, what problems they encountered, and how they resolved (or didn't resolve) them? How do you evaluate the success or failure of these interactions? How do they transform the consciousness and perceptions of their participants? It might give some substance or context to the otherwise technocratic language that has predominated thus far. Best wishes, Grant |
