The Week

"Cultural Theory & Data-Based Art" is dedicated to cultural theory and technology-based production.
While Mondays focus on lectures including the introduction of a weekly database project, Wednesdays will be dedicated to technical tutorials.

The Project

In this course you will work on one project. For parts of the course you can choose to work in groups. All group members will receive the same grade for the final result and should not exceed three participants.

Grading

70% minimum from individual work
30% maximum from group work

35% - 3 quizzes based on Monday lectures
(5% first, 15% each for the following two)

20% - short answer quizz about technical terms and problem solving

5% - project statement of intent (draft & final)

5% - project data model

5% - project navigation model

30% - final project

Attendance

After 3 unexcused absences- each additional absence lowers your final grade half a letter grade.
