  • This group assignment consists of three parts (2 window pop ups, content creation).
    You should help each other in the groups and
    share your research but you still need to each create
    your own version on your web space
    .

    For the content you decide for one of the following:
     

  • Hypertext
  • Define the terms hypertext and hypermedia and write
    a short summary (250 words) of Hypertext- The Alphanumeric Phoenix
    (in "Snap to the Grid" by Peter Lunenfeld) and review
    Kim Stringfellow's: "Welcome to the Salton Sea" (describe the content
    of the piece, what do you appreciate about the way the piece is resolved
    technically?)

  • Weblogs vs. mailinglists

  • Define the term weblog and introduce, review at least one weblog
    ie. WarBlogging and research the history of weblogging.
    Also create a table in which you compare at least 5 advantages and
    disadvantages of weblogs vs. mailinglists.

  • Net Art
    Write a 400 word summary of Rachel Greene's introduction to net art,
    link to examples of net art about which you learned in the text

  • The link to this assignment is due on our Introductory Weblog below your photo
    on September 17 before class.
