This production class will launch an ongoing web-based DMS publication on critical digital issues and politics that will be carried on by future classes. In addition to the content you will create the information architecture and the web design. You will work collaboratively on technical and content related issues.

The publication will bring together content-oriented summaries, interviews with artists, activists, engineers, computer scientists, students, a resource list, a section for grant opportunities, exhibition opportunities for digital artists, reviews of web sites and web-based artwork, software art, critical computer games, and web logs. In this class we will start with technical web design exercises and then move on to research groups. You will do one presentation on topics in new media.
